Speed Communications has been appointed by Beko, the No.1 home appliance manufacturer in Europe and the UK, to lead its UK communications programme across consumer, trade and corporate communications.
The brief will see Speed deliver an integrated programme designed to strengthen Beko’s profile with consumers, trade audiences, housebuilders and policy stakeholders.
Part of Beko Europe, Beko UK & Ireland generates more than £1bn in annual revenue. Its portfolio includes six of the sector’s leading brands – Beko, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, Indesit, Leisure and Blomberg – which together account for around a third of all large appliances sold in the UK.
The account will be led by Rebecca Broomfield, Director of Consumer, and Clare Cooper, Director of Business & Corporate, bringing together Speed’s consumer brand PR, trade media and corporate communications expertise.
Speed will manage a consumer press office for Beko, supporting brand consideration across the portfolio and developing stories that help the business stand out in a competitive home appliance market.
The agency will also lead an always-on trade and corporate communications programme, including proactive trade media relations, thought leadership, policy commentary and case study development. A key part of the brief will focus on strengthening Beko’s positioning with the housebuilder audience.
The appointment follows a period of continued growth for Speed, which was recognised by PRWeek as one of the UK’s fastest-growing agencies in 2025 and named among the UK’s top 40 consumer agencies in 2026. Speed is the only South-West agency to feature in the ranking.
Kelly Pepworth, Managing Director at Speed Communications, said:
“We are thrilled to be working with Beko – an innovative, fast-growing brand that is globally recognised for its commitment to sustainability. Together, we’ll be shaping creative, high-impact PR campaigns that drive awareness and strengthen reputation, positioning Beko at the heart of homes across the UK. They have big ambitions and so do we, and it’s going to be a brilliant partnership.”
Vijay Bhardwaj, Marketing Director at Beko UK & Ireland, said:
“Speed demonstrated a strong understanding of our brand, our values and our ambitions for the UK market. Their creative thinking, strategic approach and expertise in both consumer and B2B communications made them the standout choice. We’re looking forward to working together to deliver impactful campaigns that celebrate Beko and all that we stand for.”
The win strengthens Speed’s growing home and lifestyle portfolio, which includes Brabantia, Post Office and Co-op, and reinforces the agency’s expertise in delivering integrated communications programmes across consumer, business and corporate audiences.
